OzHarvest, Australia's solution to food waste

OzHarvest in Australia have come up with a solution to their 4 million-tonne food waste problem. From shepherds pie to a black bean stir-fry, it's all available free to feed yourself and/or your family. How are they doing this? They simply rescue perfectly edible food from supermarkets and airlines amongst other suppliers, which would have otherwise been bagged and binned.

Shockingly, a third of the world's food is thrown out each year, so it stands to reason that we really do need more sharing enterprises like this all over the world to encourage a less wasteful and conscious society.
